GRANITE LITE TM is real Granite.  It is a specially engineered Natural Granite slab developed in Europe and is now available for RV's through FlexStone Inc.

 The patented process uses Real Granite, quarried from throughout the world, and imported to Italy, just as it has been for centuries.  

Until now, real granite slabs were normally as much as 1 1/2 inch think to have the sufficient strength for shipping and fabricating without breaking.  

The stones selected for GRANITE LITE TM are sliced to less than 1/2" thick and then heated to over 500 degrees.  The heat opens the natural fissures of the stone allowing resins to penetrate the pores.  A cross-woven fiberglass is pressed onto the stone followed by a final layer of resin.  

The resulting product, GRANITE LITE TM, is an incredibly light weight, natural stone panel, five times stronger and 70% lighter then traditional residential stone, making it ideal for RV use.
